DBC partners with Yotta Capital Partners

1 Oct 2020 | Press release

Scionzier, September 29, 2021 – DBC, a French specialist in complex mechanical parts for industry, is restructuring its capital with the arrival of Yotta Capital Partners. Through this operation, the Savoy-based SME is equipping itself with the resources needed to continue its strong growth in rapidly expanding markets—particularly the electric vehicle sector—and to accelerate its technological and environmental transformation.

DBC designs and produces highly technical mechanical parts for the most demanding industries (automotive, medical, aeronautics, construction, etc.). Relying on multi-technology expertise and a strong focus on service and quality, the French SME is recognized for its ability to meet complex applications, especially in the fields of hydraulics and connectivity.

Patrick Besnier, who has been active within the company for 27 years and took it over in 2006, has decided to open a minority share of his capital to Yotta. The investment will enable DBC to strengthen its strategic positioning in the fast-growing segments of the automotive market, notably electric vehicles, where the company is already highly involved. It also aims to accelerate development in new markets, both geographically and across sectors.

The transaction is part of the continued investment plan initiated in 2018 to expand and upgrade the company’s industrial facilities. These efforts reinforce DBC’s capacity to meet demanding customer requirements, based on a competitive and sustainable offering, while contributing to the dynamism of local employment.

Above all, the capital opening to Yotta is intended to support an improvement in environmental performance. Mr. Besnier—deeply committed to carbon sobriety, a core focus of Yotta’s strategy—has already initiated relevant actions within the company. The objective now is to implement an ambitious action plan to position DBC among the pioneering environmental performers of its industry.

Patrick Besnier, CEO of DBC, stated: “The arrival of Yotta’s teams represents a major asset for the sustainability and development of DBC. Beyond the continued investments in the digitalization of our production tools, Yotta is the ideal partner to accompany me through this transition phase, with the objective of reconciling growth, competitiveness, and climate leadership.”

Xavier Herrmann, Founding Partner of Yotta Capital Partners, commented: “We have been impressed by the operational excellence built by DBC over the years, and more recently by Mr. Besnier’s agility in managing the Covid crisis, from which the company has emerged even stronger. We are very pleased and proud to support Mr. Besnier in tackling the challenges of tomorrow: ensuring sustainable growth and staying at the forefront of technology, while advancing on the path toward carbon sobriety.”

Maxime Larrat and Valentin Freudenreich, Founding Partners of Integrity Advisory, added: “DBC’s adaptability and exceptional resilience were key factors in the success of this transaction. We also recognize Patrick Besnier’s vision, ensuring the long-term future of his company by bringing in a top-tier investor capable of strengthening DBC’s foundations and visibility.”
